Super Mario Bros. 2 has the honor of being the weirdest Mario game out of the entire series, with weird educational spin-offs included. We all know that SMB2 took Doki Doki Panic and changed up characters for localization. Perhaps you didn’t know that the beta of Super Mario Bros. 2 had a different ending from the final released copy. The big difference, you ask? Well, the beta ending didn’t show the entire game as being Mario’s dream. I guess that was thrown in to make sure the game made sense for future Mario outings! Link
