I heard rumors that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was out at GameStop, just waiting to be picked up by consumers. Turns out the rumors were true, as the game doesn’t seem to have a street date. I grabbed my copy, complete with free soundtrack! Hopefully some of you guys and gals are planning on picking up this title as well.

The Anatomy of Black Friday 2009 takes an in-depth look at U.S. consumers’ Black Friday shopping. Black Friday has become an important part of the holiday shopping season, and as part of understanding the Anatomy of Black Friday 2009, NPD asked consumers what brought them out to shop this Black Friday. Miyamoto doesn’t think Nintendo would hire him now, based on his credentials

“Nintendo has become one of those companies that graduates from colleges and good universities really want to work for. Because of that, the competition’s really become so fierce for positions. And that means that a lot of the recent recruits for Nintendo have tended to have the higher degree from the prestigious colleges and universities and whatnot. I often say to Mr Iwata: ‘If I was applying for a job here today, I, with my actual college degree, would probably not have been employed by Nintendo. I might pick up on [applicants] and try to find out something really different within them which you can’t judge just by a college degree,” he said. “That’s one of the special little jobs I set myself.” - Shigeru Miyamoto I think Miyamoto has more than proved himself worthy of a position in the company. While degrees and things of that like are important, let’s hope that businesses don’t always take that route. Experience on the job is quite important as well! Link
