Thanks so much to all of you that are following us on Twitter . You guys know how much I dislike Twitter, but if it makes you happy, I’ll gladly do it! Just remember, you won’t get all of our stories on Twitter…just the juicier ones. Enjoy the Tweets, enjoy Cory’s comic, and enjoy the fact that it’s finally Friday! See you all in a few, short hours. Cory had a pretty big week this week! Proving further that he’s a fantastic artist, his work was featured over on the Cave Story WiiWare blog! If there’s any way Cory could get even closer to my heart, it would be with a Cave Story tribute. On top of that, Cory’s GoNintendo comics were featured on Drawn . Cory assured me that Drawn is one of the ‘most prestigious comic/illustration/animation sites out there’. They surely must be, if they’re featuring Cory’s work! Congrats to Cory on all of his hard work. I am constantly proud to feature the ‘bit and run’ series. That sentiment goes for today as well, as we have the 11th installment for you all to check out. I’ve done enough talking…time for the good stuff!

Well, we’ve never had a podcast like this one, and I hope we never do again. My voice is completely shot due to the cold I have, and it only gets worse as the show progresses. We’ve never missed a show, and I’m not letting this damn cold ruin that streak! Thanks for putting up with my mind-numbing shrills this week. Download the show here (come on and SLAM this into your ears, it’s time to JAM!) Link

There’s no better time to talk about this question than right now, especially for Nintendo fans. We’re going to see a new Mario title, a new Metroid title, and hopefully a new Zelda title this year. Three of gaming’s biggest icons, all of them with varying amounts of speech. There’s no doubt that Samus is going to talk more than ever in Metroid: Other M. Chances are Mario will stick to his short bursts of excitement in his next outing. When it comes to Link…would Nintendo really add a voice to the hero, outside of his grunts? Article here

Returning participants will notice that most of the rules and guidelines are the same as last year, but we’ve been working hard to make exciting changes that will make the 2010 Pokémon Video Game Championships better than ever! These changes include: * Players now using Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver Version games exclusively * Pokémon Level 51 and higher being automatically graded down to Level 50 for the duration of the battle using a new auto-leveling feature o Each Pokémon keeps all of the moves it knew before being adjusted o Pokémon that evolve after Level 50 don’t devolve o Any Pokémon below Level 50 will stay at its current level * Virtually every Pokémon found in the National Pokédex of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions is eligible, including Pokémon traded in from earlier games, with the following exceptions: o Arceus, Celebi, Darkrai, Deoxys, Jirachi, Manaphy, Mew, Phione, and Shaymin cannot participate o A team cannot contain more than two of Dialga, Giratina, Groudon, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Lugia, Mewtwo, Palkia, and Rayquaza during a battle Stay tuned for more information regarding the upcoming Pokémon Video Game Championships! Look for details around March 14th when Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions arrive in stores! Thanks to LaserSamurai for the heads up! Link

Did you know that the GameCube was built with some specific 3d technology that was never put to use? The info comes straight from Iwata himself! Iwata : To tell you the truth, GameCube is secretly designed to load graphical circuits which display graphics for right and left eyes respectively, for a future possibility of realizing 3D gaming experience. So actually we have had interest on this technology, but I have some doubt about everyone needing glasses to play. Looks like Nintendo has been thinking 3d for a long time, but never actually felt that it was the right path for the industry. I wonder if that same tech is hidden away within the Wii. Thanks to Cypher for the heads up! Link
