Being back from E3 in my regular routine really helps me to realize how much I love when things are normal! I love going to E3 and checking all that stuff out, but it’s quite taxing! How about next year, I hang back and you guys go? Sounds like a good deal to me! You guys dream of that, and I’ll head off to get some sleep! See you in a few, short hours. Sorry about the delay, but we finally have part 3 of 3 for our ‘Super E3 Video Podcast’ from Rinry and Jot! These guys worked their asses off at the hotel to get these videos done. Couple that with a laptop that wasn’t exactly super-powerful, and you get hours upon hours of rendering/editing. I know how frustrating that sort of thing can be, which really makes me appreciate the hard work that went on here. The final product is all wrapped up now! Remember, you can hit up Rinry’s YouTube channel below to check out the other parts if you missed them! Direct link here

The crew is heading back to all of their locations of origin. I am flying back to New Jersey in just a couple of hours, Cort is catching his flight as well, and then Rinry/Jot are heading back to ‘America’s hat’! I’m pretty sure I’m coming down with a nasty cold, so hopefully I can get into Mom Brain’s arms before I take a turn for the worst! That means the site is going to go quiet for quite a few hours. Cort may have a chance to hit up the site with a few stories, but if not, you’ll have to wait until I land in NJ! That won’t happen until around 7 PM EST, so hopefully you all can hang in there! My apologies for the hectic schedule, but that’s what E3 is all about! Wish me a safe flight, and I’ll see you on the other side! Were you looking for some E3 impressions from GoNintendo that were a little bit more interesting than walls of text? I think what we have below is going to be right up your alley. Thanks to some hard work from Rinry and Jot, we have part 1 of a 3-part feature on our first day at E3. Hit up the video below to see what we tackled, what we thought, and how the day went in general! Direct link here

Returning participants will notice that most of the rules and guidelines are the same as last year, but we’ve been working hard to make exciting changes that will make the 2010 Pokémon Video Game Championships better than ever! These changes include: * Players now using Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver Version games exclusively * Pokémon Level 51 and higher being automatically graded down to Level 50 for the duration of the battle using a new auto-leveling feature o Each Pokémon keeps all of the moves it knew before being adjusted o Pokémon that evolve after Level 50 don’t devolve o Any Pokémon below Level 50 will stay at its current level * Virtually every Pokémon found in the National Pokédex of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions is eligible, including Pokémon traded in from earlier games, with the following exceptions: o Arceus, Celebi, Darkrai, Deoxys, Jirachi, Manaphy, Mew, Phione, and Shaymin cannot participate o A team cannot contain more than two of Dialga, Giratina, Groudon, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Lugia, Mewtwo, Palkia, and Rayquaza during a battle Stay tuned for more information regarding the upcoming Pokémon Video Game Championships! Look for details around March 14th when Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions arrive in stores! Thanks to LaserSamurai for the heads up! Link

Time for me to shuffle off to bed. I had a great night off, and it seems like you guys had a great time with Deux. Now that my house-hunting issues are settled, I can rest a little easier, and get back to having a permanent smile on my face! That is, right after I get some sleep. See you guys in a few, short hours! I don’t know, is it too early to be claiming a Rinry video as her best work yet? If not, then I have to give this latest feature my biggest nod of approval! As you guys know, I’m a huge fan of boxart. I often talk about how important I believe boxart to be, and how not enough people pay tribute to the hard work that goes into these creations. Little did I know that Rinry was working on a video about this very subject! She takes us through the history of boxart, and shows us just how important it is. We also get to see some of the best…and worst boxarts from the past 30 years. That’s enough chatter from me. Time to let you guys enjoy the video! Please make sure to share your thoughts with Rinry in the comments below! Direct link here

Nicky Hill said something to me earlier today that I picked up on as well. Game industry news has been a little slower than usual lately. I had a feeling things would go this way. Right after Thanksgiving, everyone really seems to be in the Winter holiday mood. On top of that, December really doesn’t have the big-name titles it usually does. There are only a handful of AAA titles on the way. All that leads to a quiet time of the year. With that said, I’m still doing/have been doing my job as usual! Sorry if the quiet nature of the game industry has you craving more news! Sometimes, there’s just not a lot to report! Hopefully this video will be a perk for your day. See you all in a few, short hours! As promised, I have some footage from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for you guys. It turns out that I decided to record my footage at the perfect time! This 10 minute segment of play includes some traditional Zelda puzzling and enemy bashing, as well as some Spirit Flute play. You’ll have to excuse my rather lackluster play in some portions of the video. I had the camera in front of me, and then the DS in front of that. I had to reach around the camera to play, and try not to block the screen with my hand/stylus! Also, a second apology for the portions where I have to blow into the mic. You’ll see where blowing in the mic and strange stylus position really screw me over! With that said, I hope you enjoy the footage. I recorded my play on the DSi LL, so the video should be of a better quality than usual. Please, if you have any video requests or questions in general, feel free to leave a comment. I’d be more than happy to do more video footage for another night, if you guys want that. Direct link here
